Yext Adds Multiplayer Agent Harness to Scout and Agrees to Acquire Flamel.ai

Yext has added a multiplayer agent harness to Scout, its existing agentic marketing platform, giving marketing teams, partners and AI agents a shared workspace to plan and execute marketing activity with common context.

The company announced the update on September 30, alongside a separate announcement that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Flamel.ai, a platform for running localized paid campaigns across Google, Meta and ChatGPT.

Together, the announcements expand Scout's role from helping brands understand their visibility to giving teams and agents more ways to act on that intelligence.

Bringing Teams and Agents Into One Workspace

The new multiplayer agent harness sits inside Scout rather than replacing it with a new platform.

The idea is to give corporate marketing teams, field teams, partners, franchisees and local managers access to the same data, context and agents.

Scout continuously monitors how brands and competitors appear across traditional search, AI search, listings, reviews, webpages and social channels. When it identifies something that needs attention, teams can work with agents from the same environment rather than passing information between separate tools and conversations.

Yext says the shared workspace is designed to retain historical context, brand priorities, competitive intelligence and decisions that have already been made.

From AI Productivity to Marketing Execution

Yext's pitch is that individual AI tools can make marketers more productive, but the benefits can become fragmented when every person works with their own agent.

The multiplayer approach is intended to make that context available across the wider marketing operation.

Agents can execute tasks across the same surfaces Scout monitors, while people provide the judgment and direction around what should actually be done.

The harness is currently live with Yext account teams, with Scout customers able to join a waitlist for early access.

Yext Is Also Moving Into Paid Media

Separately, Yext has agreed to acquire Flamel.ai, extending Scout into localized paid media.

Flamel.ai helps multi-location brands run localized paid campaigns across Google, Meta and ChatGPT.

The planned acquisition would bring paid media alongside the existing channels managed through Yext, including search, listings, reviews, webpages and social.

Yext says the combination will allow Scout's competitive intelligence to inform paid campaign decisions at the individual-location level.

Connecting Organic and Paid Visibility

For multi-location brands, Yext says paid media decisions are often based on regional budgets or historical spending rather than the actual competitive position of each location.

Under the planned integration, Scout could identify where a location is falling behind in organic and AI search, while Flamel.ai's models would determine targeting, budget and creative for that location.

Agents could then direct spend toward those areas and check advertising claims against verified Yext data.

The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of Yext's fiscal 2027, which ends January 31, 2027, subject to customary closing conditions. Yext expects to fund the transaction with cash on hand.

Building an Agentic Marketing Stack

The two announcements point to a broader direction for Scout.

The multiplayer harness gives people and agents a shared environment for planning and execution, while the planned Flamel.ai acquisition adds another execution channel through localized paid media.

That creates a potential loop where Scout can identify an opportunity, teams and agents can decide what to do, and the resulting action can be executed across both organic and paid channels.

Yext already positions Scout as an agentic marketing orchestration platform, with its API-first architecture connecting structured business data to APIs, MCP servers and generative interfaces.

The Bigger Picture

The shift is less about launching another AI marketing tool and more about connecting intelligence, human judgment and execution.

AI agents can already carry out individual marketing tasks at scale. The harder problem is giving those agents enough shared context to work across an organization without losing the decisions, data and priorities that make a brand's marketing effective.

Yext is now building that collaboration directly into Scout, while the Flamel.ai acquisition would extend the system into paid media.

If the deal closes as planned, Yext's platform will have another major channel through which teams and agents can turn competitive and customer intelligence into action.

The direction is clear: AI agents are moving from individual productivity tools toward shared marketing infrastructure.
